Gone in 60 Seconds

Let's see if we can't collect all 50 cars in diecast form from the movie Gone in 60 seconds. The first car we need to track down is Mary a 1999 Aston Martin. I was able to find one such car at Claytown Collection Inc. They have two scale sizes to choose from a 1:18 scale coming in five colors priced at $45.99 and a 1:24 coming in three colors price at $15.99

For my collection I'll be going with the 1:18 scale in Coupe Blue

Number two on our list is Barbara a 1962 Aston Martin DB1. Here we are going to have a little harder time finding this diecast car seeing as Aston Martin didn't make the DB1 in 1962. The "DB1", as it became known in retrospect after the DB2 was introduced, was built in 1948, the first year that Aston Martin under the new ownership of David Brown (initials DB) produced cars. In addition, fewer than 20 models were ever sold of the DB1 which would make it an extremely rare find. In 1962 Aston Martin produced the DB4 Series.

So for my collection here I'll be going with a 1:18 scale Carrol Shelby Le Mans Aston Martin DBR1 that I was able to buy off Ebay.

On to number 3 car on the list is Lindsey a 1999 Bentley Arnage. Finding this car in diecast was just impossible to do. The best I could do was a 1998 Bentley Arnage done by the Franklin Mint in a 1:24 scale for $135.00 Which was sold out. Pictured below

Moving on to number 4 Laura: A 1999 Bentley Azure. Yet another car we just can't seem to find. Plenty of 2006 to choose from, but we want to try and stay true to the movie. In the coming months Minichamps will be releasing a 1:43 scale 1996 Bentley Azure in black. So we will have to make do with that one.

Alma is number 5 on the list a 1964 Bentley Continental and we will have to drop down in scale to a 1:64 made by Corgi.

We should have a number of choses at number 6 with Madeline a 1959 Cadillac El Dorado, we are able to find it in just about all scales and makers. I went with a white 1:18 scale.

We have another Cadillac at number 7 This time a 1958 El Dorado Brougham named Patricia. I'm staying in the 1:18 scale here and going with a Sun Star model. We also found this car in a 1:64 through Mattles Hot Wheels. Franklin Mint has one in a 1:24 scale. So we can cover all price ranges here.

I'm sure we will have many to choose from at number 8 Carol is a 1999 Cadillac Escalade.
